Promotional Video

This 15-minute promotional video is an edited version of a television episode produced for The Fishery Now.

The video entitled "Newfoundland & Labrador Fish Harvesters: Professionals and More..." takes a look at the Professional Fish Harvesters Certification Board (PFHCB), its objectives and criteria, and its role in establishing the Province's commercial fishery as a professional occupation. It focuses primarily on professional fish harvesters themselves; the skilled nature of their work, their vast contribution to the economy and communities of our province, the strides being made to improve safety in their dangerous industry, and the changing attitudes toward fish harvesting as a business and respected career.
